I listen to and get to know your organization so I can design and deliver the right content for your employees.

I deliver quality content that’s aligned with adult learning principles and your organization’s goals.

Actionable content

I make interpersonal and behavioral skills engaging and interactive so your employees can immediately and confidently apply what they learn.

My Values

All successful projects and partnerships must be supported by a strong foundation. Mt. Vernon Consulting’s foundation combines these values:

  • Trust: You need high-quality content delivered on time, and I’m a do-er who can’t imagine working any other way.

  • Authenticity: I’m a straight shooter, I care about my clients, and I am genuinely invested in your success.

  • Transparency: I don't like surprises, which is why I keep everyone in the loop around project milestones, risks, and key decisions.

When I was a trainer, I developed a keen interest in instructional design. What made a training more effective? And how could I improve as a trainer?

I began exploring how to design an effective training program that delivers quality instruction and ensures employees would apply what they learned. The logical, linear approach of instructional design clicked with my project management mindset. Thus began my new life as an instructional designer and trainer.

Never one to do things half-way, I became a bronze-level Kirkpatrick certified professional. (The Kirkpatrick Model is the foremost evaluation training methodology in the world.) I have a master’s certificate in Project Management from George Washington University School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from John Carroll University.

Outside of work (and not during a pandemic), I am working toward the goal of visiting all 50 states and the home country of each of my ancestors. I also enjoy working in my vegetable garden and talking ad nauseum about my crop yields to anyone patient enough to listen.
